As one of the few surviving original Vaudeville stages in the country, the Darress Theater offers its patrons a truly unique entertainment experience. Built in 1919, the theater retains much of its original charm, and its style and character are wholly unmatched. Located just forty minutes from Manhattan, the Darress Theater is proving that the arts are alive in New Jersey. A full service theater for the arts-- the original Vaudeville stage is an ideal venue for our live theatrical plays, stand-up comedy shows and live concerts. The theater also regularly presents independent and foreign films, new releases, and silent films with haunting live organ accompaniment. Equipped with an on-site recording studio and broadcasting capabilities, the Darress Theater continues to explore new avenues of entertainment; while striving to provide the community with an ever changing array of shows and talent.
