CHELSEA CARLSON SINGLE "USED TO BE" COMING OUT AUGUST 6, 2011
Chelsea Carlson clearly was born in the wrong decade – although she’s spent the two decades she has lived through playing music. Chelsea is a rocker at heart, influenced by Robert Plant, Janis Joplin, and Roger Waters. She sings and plays bass, guitar, saxophone, and piano.
Chelsea’s love for classic rock music stems back to her days at Long Valley School of Rock, where she performed in cover shows of such bands as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and the Doors. She has since developed a taste for some modern bands such as Muse and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. Chelsea wants to take the heart of classic rock and blend it with the energy of modern rock into something new and original.
Over the years, Chelsea has played in various bands and performed at many venues. She has played the Highline Ballroom and Blender (Gramercy) Theater in NYC, the Morristown PAC, and venues across the Boston area. No matter the venue, Chelsea is happiest to be rocking out on stage for an audience.
Although her ultimate goal is to find a band to play with, Chelsea has been spending the summer performing acoustically as a soloist or in small groups. She also will be releasing her first single, "Used to Be," in August 2011.
Chelsea is studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston MA. She has been writing new lyrics and has many surprises in store for her fans in the coming months. She will be looking for you in the audience of one of her shows very soon! |
