Biography
MayOrWest is a four-piece alternative/punk-rock band based out of Hoboken, NJ. Since their inception in late 2005, Adam, Eric, Pete and Jimmy have been composing a collection of fast, heavy, melodic originals with a sound that is truly unique. Drawing inspiration from their varied musical backgrounds, the boys have fused their intricate styles into a cohesive harmony, which is immediately evident to anyone who sees them live. Simply stated, MayOrWest has an intense unending love and passion for writing and playing music; an emotion they wear on their sleeves and use to embrace every crowd they play to.
To date, MayOrWest has released their independent EP entitled, "The Mark and the Memory," recorded with Northshore Recording (Armor for Sleep, Jet Lag Gemini) in 2008. Building off the positive response to their EP, the boys quickly completed work with Widescreen Productions and Director, Daniel Coda, on the music video for their hit single "Back From The Brink”.
Currently, MayOrWest has just completed their debut Independent Full-Length LP entitled, “We, The End”, recorded with Big Blue Meenie Studios (Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, etc) under the brilliant guidance of Production Supervisor, Tim Gilles and Producer, Matt “Debris” Menafro.. MayOrWest is now continuing to tour the East Coast in support of the new record.
