COOL DAYS END November 27, 2007 (Asbury Park, NJ) – The band Cool Days End will be broadcast live on 105.7 FM The Hawk from the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ on December 2nd, 2007. Showtime is 8pm. The event marks the first time in over 25 years that a band has been broadcast live on FM radio from The Stone Pony. For those unable to attend the show and out of the listening area, the live broadcast will be available on The Hawk’s website at www.1057thehawk.com.
Cool Days End was chosen to headline the broadcast due to their recent win of the “Battle for Wingstock” sponsored by 105.7 The Hawk in which over 170,000 votes were cast. Cool Days End received the most votes of all the local bands and won the top spot of opening up for Paul Rodgers from Bad Company, Foghat, Little Feat, and The Marshall Tucker Band at Wingstock 2007.
“This is really cool for us,” stated Tommy “TK” Kistler, the band’s frontman. “It’s a great way for our fans around the U.S. and worldwide to hear us perform live”.
Cool Days End consists of TK (lead vocals and guitar), Rick Masch (bass and backing vocals), Mike Panek (lead guitar), Rob Kulessa (drums), and Bill Kace (keyboards). The band will release a new CD next month that includes the track “Believe Me,” featuring Soozie Tyrell of the E Street Band on violin. www.cooldaysend.com
