Deep in the ever-growing music scene of Jersey City, NJ, four young men are pushing the limits of rock. By twisting various musical backgrounds into one exploding style of sound, Water under Water tests the possibilities of rock.
Since their first magical meeting in a dimly lit sound studio in the depths of New Jersey in 2005, the pulsing rhythms of Ian Thomas and Chris Brooks on drums and bass, the frantic guitars of Max Michaels and the haunting vocals of Joel Friedrich have grown into a creatively gritty ensemble. Songs like Ghost in the Smoke and Hotel Montreal, the standouts on their EP Blacklight Hospital, come at you with an undeniable pounding force. With their energetic live show; they are capturing the attention of audiences throughout the NYC metropolitan area. They bring non-stop excitement with them everywhere they go, and the fans agree.
